Amy Art Studio

Painting Selection Guide

Every Amy Art Studio piece is made individually by Ayşe Merve Yakut. Acrylic, plaster, relief, and selected natural materials are shaped into original compositions through the artist’s approach to colour, texture, and form.

What makes a painting handmade and original?

In a handmade original painting, the composition, colours, marks, and layers are created directly on the artwork surface by the artist. Each Amy Art Studio work is shaped individually with acrylic, plaster, and selected materials, giving it a distinct surface and character.

How are Amy Art Studio artworks made?

Each work is made individually by Ayşe Merve Yakut. Acrylic and plaster are core materials; relief layers, wooden elements, real sea sand, or seashells may also be used when the composition calls for them. Materials are listed specifically on each artwork page.

What is a textured or relief painting?

Textured and relief paintings gain physical depth through layers of acrylic, plaster, or other materials. Their surfaces create shadows that shift with the light. This is one of Amy Art Studio’s prominent practices, but the collection is not limited to textured work.

How should I choose the size of an abstract or large painting?

Consider the usable wall width, furniture scale, viewing distance, and the open space around the work together. Large-scale original works create a strong focal point on broad, quiet walls, while smaller pieces suit gallery arrangements and compact spaces more easily.

Abstract · Modern

Can I commission a custom painting?

Yes. A work can be planned for your space by choosing a reference piece, dimensions from 20–200 cm, a colour direction, and the preferred surface character. References guide the style; every commission is original and is not reproduced as an exact copy.

Find an approximate artwork width for your wall

Above furniture, around 60–75% of its width is a useful starting point; on an open wall, consider 45–65% of the usable width.
